Meaningful and compassion-provoking
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I always look for movies and books that are provocative to my sense of compassion, and this movie fulfills this in a unique way. It is "other-worldly" in that it is appears culturally un-American, but is very unifying to probably anyone, anywhere on the planet. Mingles and contrasts the self-centeredness of a very young boy in modern times with his urges for modern indulgences, and the self-sacrifice of a his generations-removed caregiver--his long-suffering grandmother. Heart rending and evocative, it put me in a place of "walking a mile in (this woman's) shoes" very effectively, a condition we should all not be averse to, provided it is only temporary! REALLY makes one think about what is NOT temporary, for so many across the globe.
