Excellent Product
After getting stung when i bought another brand of camera that forced me to have a monthly subscription to be able to record from it, I made sure I researched this purchase. The D-Link DCS-5020L is exactly what I was looking for, yes D-Link has the mydlink service, but it is free, but you do not need to use it. I have set my cameras up so they are only accessable on my private network and have them recording to the D-Link DNR-200L with a USB 1 TB drive attached, very easy to setup and simple to operate if you have a little technical knowledge. Great stuff thanks for a good product D-Link.

Sanity Saver
Well I bought this on the off chance it might work, we had just moved into our new home which is in a neighborhood that the houses are all VERY close. Our 6 month old Chihuahua was a little overwhelmed with all the new sounds and one of the neighbors had a cat that would just sit there and let our little dog bark at it. I turned the unit on and saw that our dog reacted IMMEDIATELY!!! the most barks at first our dog could get out before she stopped was 3 in a row, she has tried to discover how to get around the device but nothing works for her :) After 4 days, she is lucky if she barks once a day now, great device has saved our sanity and the dog is none the worse off. Be sure to follow the instructions and you will love your dog again :).
UPDATE AFTER 4 WEEKS USE
:( Well after 4 weeks of this working great, for some reason our Chi decided she did not care about the noise anymore. We had even purchased another one to put at the front door. After it stopped effecting her I placed both of them in front of her while she barked and they did not even get a second glance from her. Hopefully you can break your dogs barking habit before they get used to the sound. GOOD LUCK

Great Product
I purchased the DNR-202L to go with my 2 D-Link DSC-5020L IP Cameras, when you use all D-Link products that are built to work together then you are going to find success. I will say you do need to be a little bit tech savvy to get it all working quickly, but if you follow the instructions for the basic setup you will get there. I kept my entire system private and on my own network and this is what I liked about the D-Link products. There is no monthly subscriptions etc. like other cameras, which I did get stung with. The settingup of the DNR-202L is very simple and I have had no issues with the device since I have set it up, I have an uptime of 18 days on the device so far. Great product and worth every cent if you are looking to set up a small office or home security camera system.
