Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Computer Speakers Two-Way Satellites 3" Midbass Drivers

Buy at your own risk.

I really wanted to like this set of speakers. It has the capability of sounding awesome, but the one I bought has a very low audible hum and hiss when nothing is playing. I thought the noise was coming from my computer at first, but I also tried it out using my portable music player and the noise is still there. It also crackles at certain frequencies. I first thought that the satellite speakers was bad. So, I hooked up another set of speakers on the speaker's output located in the back of the subwoofer's box, and those speakers crackled as well. I believe my set just came with a defective amp. Also It runs hot and has no power switch to turn it off. In conclusion, I heard that the sound of these speakers were top-notch for the money, but when I did further research (unfortunately after I bought them), they also have a high failure rate, too (overheating issues for one). Guess I'll stick with my old faithful (Altec Lansing AVS300) for a bit longer.

Great sound, good value.

I'm surprised how good this sounds for it's size and price. Sounds better than a lot of multimedia computer speakers around this price range. Sound quatlity thru bluetooth is also really good.

This was a direct replacement for my old LG tv. Works just fine.
