    OH MY GOSH I never saw this! My back injury was pretty severe. It morphed into affecting my spine down into my sacroiliac joint. Still in recovery but I am hiking again. I think I am easily injured due to Lyme. I have often wondered if the monitor worked for you. I am thrilled and hope it continues to work well for you.

Excellent and delightful and healing
On top of the delightful writing and wit of the author, part of the intrigue of this book for me are the multiple examples of people -- and animals — problem solving. Everyone intertwined in their lives seems to encounter major challenges or set goals that require unique solutions. The stories are about how they respond and solve those challenges. How to convince a stubborn burro to run, convincing them it is their idea, how to make it fun and challenging for the burro. How to train at almost sea level for a race at 10,000 — 12,000 feet. How to heal a sick, abused donkey. How do Amish run yet not make it about personal glory. Running as community. How to teach a goat to race. How to save a dying Colorado town. Numerous health issues arise ranging from cancers, athletes with severe depression, suicides in highly intelligent, talented people, a deadly virus in a premature baby, autism/neurodiverse — 2 young boys, accidents -- several people with broken bones to varying degrees of severity. Solutions range from bringing in experts to care for hooves, heal the neglect of Sherman’s body, connect friends for humans and animals, learn how a burro thinks, plan training strategies, and in many cases the burros are the healers — as well as, the people that unite burro with the person.
