This is my favourite King Tubby Album but.......
This is my favourite King Tubby Album but the sound quality is not there, I have the original LP on the Klik record label and on this LP you can really here all of King Tubbys work and how he plays around with the top end and the sound effects he puts into he work and the quality of the sound produced , yes there is surface noise from the records he mixes but on this release (Jamaican Recordings) alot of this is lost, it is a low output muted reproduction compared to the original almost like you have cotton wool in your ears, it has just lost that raw edge, however if you do not have the original you will not know what I am banging on about. I bought this release because the original is badly scratched but I will continue to use the scratched original until I hunt down a mint original, all said and done, it is still a fantastic Lp
