A great replacement for OEM units
One of my original fog light housings suffered water damage and the reflector corroded. The price of a new one is several dollars more than what a pair of these go for, therefore the decision was a no-brainer. Because of the design, I was able to retain the factory brackets by just using basic fasteners and bushings from my local hardware store in addition to splicing in the correct pigtails so they plug directly into the factory harness. Only one slight issue is that if you plan on using these as OEM replacements, your dash indicator light may not work since these draw much less current than halogen bulbs which in turn makes the BCM think that both units are inop. This is easily remedied by splicing in load resistors to each harness.

So much for consistency
Even though the A plug is reversible, the micro USB plug isn't, which really defeats the purpose of the ergonomics.

Just what I needed
This seems well put together unlike an 1157 equivalent of a different brand that I also bought. You might have to get creative when routing this in tight spacing like I had to do. The short wiring can be either an advantage or a detriment, depending on your application. The socket makes the bulb sit in a recessed position and in my case, still reflects quite evenly and the notches very well match the stock ones. Therefore, I also strongly recommend these for anyone who might have bought LEDs that are too long for the housing.
