Essential item to get Cerbo GX working
The Cerbo GX has a very limited 3x VE direct port configuration. With the Battery Monitor also communicating with the Cerbo GX on VE direct, only 2x VE direct ports are left for SmartSolar connections.
It is bizarre that Cerbo GX cannot communicate with the rest of the SmartSolar controllers via Bluetooth nor WiFi. They are just sitting next to each other in close proximity. It's not a very smart design in my opinion for typical setup.
I have 6x Victron SmartSolar 100/50 controllers and a BMV712 that the Cerbo GX needs to connect to, in order to implement DVCC to manage the maximum charging current to the LFP battery bank, consisting of 10x 120Ah LFPs.
Although the LFP can take very high 1C charging current, the battery bank circuit breaker cannot. I tried a 300A version and it wasn't up to the job... eventually had to replace that with a 200A version from Blue Seas Systems 187 series.
The main issue with this USB cable is the lack in the right angle connector on the VE direct port end, making it super tricky for connection. Due to the close fit of all the Victron SmartSolar controllers, it would have been nice if Victron makes a right angle version of this cable like the other VE direct cable. As such, with some improvisation, i manage to get this cable to make a 90 degrees tight turn... but it's not an ideal setup. Given the choice i would have gone with Bluetooth if that's available, then VE direct as secondary option... too bad Cerbo VE direct ports are quite limited. This makes the USB the only option.

Cost effective portable mass storage solution
This is my forth purchase of the same WD 4TB HDD. The price has gone up slightly since I purchased the previous unit but still remains as the best value option in town.
Compare to other options such as Seagate, the WD tends to run cooler and a bit more quiet.
Read/Write is reasonably fast.
I am mainly a Mac OSX user, but I noticed with these WD drive, occasionally in Windows it doesn't appear to dismount well. And only a restart would allow you to disconnect the drive safely. I wonder if others have experienced the same issue..
But overall the durability of these WD is good. And I am happy to recommend this 4Tb version to others.

Limited use
Surprised to find that this device doesn’t support LFP, which is the predominant choice for solar charging
Also it is very difficult to get into the setup mode with the two key combo. Tried may be a dozen times then may get in once.
Based on the limited usage I cannot recommend unless it fits a very specific need
