Highly Recommended Classic TdM Tarot Deck
Created by the late Dr Yoav Ben-Dov, this reproduction of the classic Conver-style deck originating in the 18th century gives modern tarot enthusiasts a clear, colorful, and highly readable (useful in dim light) deck of cards. The design principle was to let the cards speak for themselves, not add unnecessary details from the imagination of the modern creator (like the Jodorowsky tarot does). Unlike Rider-Waite style decks, the minor arcana uses numbered "pips" and court cards. I find the classic designs striking and appropriate when used in readings. This deck was printed for US Games in China.

Fully Illustrated Tarot Deck with Bright Colors
Paul Huson's tarot deck combines elements of the traditional Tarot de Marseilles in the major arcana and the much newer, relatively speaking, Rider-Waite decks by having fully illustrated minors. I find the artwork quite engaging when doing a reading. Lo Scarabeo card stock is easy to handle and shuffle. Very much recommended if you want something based on the older Continental tarot systems, fully illustrated with eye-catching colors. The deck I received was printed in Italy.

Nicely Illustrated Version of the Tarot de Marseilles by Oswald Wirth
A nice reproduction of the classic tarot deck by Oswald Wirth. While he did not illustrate any minor cards in his original deck, I think Lo Scarabeo did a good job creating court cards (page, knight, queen, king) matching the style of the major arcana created by Wirth. This deck could be used interchangeably with older, classic Tarot de Marseilles decks, but it should not be confused with the newer, relatively speaking, Rider-Waite decks influenced by the Golden Dawn tradition. The card stock is fine for handling and shuffling. My deck was printed in Italy.
