Surprising Mahler 4
I bought this reduced, cut down Mahler 4 having heard it at a concert and being captivated by it. I really love it. Recommended. Perhaps I ought to add, that it isn't reduced in length... and the soprano in the final mvt is still there. Anyway, I just love it.

Odd, tense, captivating
Isabelle Huppert's performance totally engages. This us a rare occasion where the film is better than the book. A film that stays with you.

Great if you understand German. Otherwise.... hmm.
It is a bit kitschy... but it's perfect entertainment. It does what it's supposed to do. What I would say is that if your German isn't good you'd struggle. Although there are subtitles in German, which help.
