DBJ-2 VHF UHF Dual Band Roll Up portable Antenna

Great antenna.

This is an awesome antenna. I use it in a metal building with an HT. Brings the signal in strong and clear. I hang it from the ceiling in the corner of the room. The bonus is how it rolls up when I take it down and fits in a small baggie and goes into my briefcase. This is my second antenna the first is in my ARES go kit for my mobile dual band. Easy to string up and performs very well.

Good vertical

A really good vertical for those in HOA neighborhoods. Well constructed, very solid. I have worked over 100 DX with it both SSB and Digital. Be warned, you will need the 1 kW UPGRADE 4:1 UNUN for SE X-80 & SE HF-360 HF VERTICAL Antenna for working digital over 25 watts. Takes only a few minutes to change out the stock UNUN for the upgraded UNUN. You may need a rivet tool to connect a wire. If you are hanging it up long term I would suggest some sealing tape between the joints to keep out water. Seller is top notch with communication and support.

Poor quality

The sound quality both transmitting and receiving is very poor. Side by side with a Yaesu HT with speaker microphone the Baofeng speaker microphone at full volume was 10% of that of the Yaesu speaker microphone. Had to put the microphone to my ear to hear. Got complaints of muffled transmissions. Yes, did side by side test. No complaints from the Yaesu HT and speaker microphone.
