8LED 1000X 10MP USB Digital Microscope Handheld Endoscope Magnifier Camera Stand

Misleading description, with poor performance.

After receiving the microscope, I noticed that the maximum possible resolution is only 1200x1024 which means that the sensor is not 10MP but 1.3MP. Moreover, the optical zoom, measured, is about 100x and indeed the logical zoom is 5x, which multiplied by 100x gives you 500x. No way this is some microscope I would recommend, moreover, the price tag for it is not justified since what you pay for is not what you receive. The plastic stand is not firm at all and moving the microscope up and down implies quite an effort, not mentioning the fact that focusing is lost most of the times you adjust the height. The driver installed relatively easy, but the Microscope application(s) to access the microscope were not available in the autoplay menu of the distributed CD ROM, therefore one has to browse the CD and install by hand. Again, no application from the three provided (Microscope, Hotviewer and CamApp) were not able to see more than the 1.3MP sensor, which is, again, really frustrating since the title of the microscope states that the CMOS sensor is, in one case 10MP and in the other "up to 10MP". It's not. The stand assembled really easy, with a sigle screw at the bottom of the vertical column. The base is all plastic, with two perpendicular rulers, and is a little too lightweight but usable, nevertheless. The optics were actually good, with just a few minor distorsions in general. The product arrived in a plastic bag, which I somehow appreciate as I dont' like to spend the money on cardboard boxes that I will eventually throw away.

Really dissapointed, not usable for straight razors

The true grit of the stone is around 5-6k. The scratch marks are huge and the end result is horrible. I also own a GMN200 but that is a totally different stone. Don't buy this one, unless you don't want to ruin your razor. There are far better stones for much less money you can buy This is by far the worst value for the money.
