"Heavy with future implications"
Book was difficult to put down. The location in the Honduran jungle provided a lot of interest as well as suspense. The leishmaniasis problem and its implications for modern society are frightening.
Loved the book despite the fears presented for our future!
Highly recommend the book.

"Devotion" is inspirational in its potential to heal America!
Brilliantly depicts the harshness of the Korean War. Characters are true-to-life, reflecting their different attitudes toward the war and how they react to its brutalities.
Makos has done an incredible amount of research which helped to paint this accurate picture of a war that most people are totally unfamiliar with.
In the current politically charged atmosphere where the name calling invariable ends with the "racist" label, I would like to see this book as required reading for all high schools in America. Perhaps "Devotion" could begin again the healing America needs now more than ever!
