Whimsical charm, light romance and comedy
I saw this film once, more than fifty years ago, and remembered it fondly ever since (including humming the musical theme). I enjoyed it just as much this time around - but I suspect younger folk might find it lacking in continual action-cum-violence (not to mention there's no sex or swearing), and therefore a bit tame. If, however, what appeals to you is whimsical charm, gentle humour, a reverse Cinderella story (he is the one down on his luck - she is the one with position and money), a roguish old Irishman who takes a horse to talk with the fairies, and a general walk down the path of nostalgia, then you will probably find much pleasure in this film.

Genuine comedy classic
Perfect condition, arrived quickly. This film was a favourite of ours when it first came out, and time hasn't changed our love of this engaging comedy set in the early days of flight, with a roll call of fine actors (think Terry Thomas, Eric Sykes, the charming Sarah Miles etc.). The concept of an air race from England all the way to PARIS gives plenty of scope for poking gentle fun at the national characteristics of many countries, with a bit of a love triangle thrown in. If you like those classic comedies that the whole family could view, buy this one.
