Taming the Beast

We're all familiar with the volume pot problem with the HOT ROD Deluxe. Well here's a simple fix. Just put this in the effects loop, and instant relief. I used pedal board cables, but may do some custom shorter ones in the future. Now there is no sudden jump in volume. I have the Volume Box set about 1/4 and even at 5 on the HRX it's practice friendly. More importantly, with the amp opened up a little , it seems more alive. The plastic box is sturdy and the pot seems nice and smooth. Well worth the price.

Max doesn't even come close.

Want to experiment with new sounds. Max does it. Want to rock out to old classic sounds. Max does it. And, I'm just scratching the surface at what this pedal can do. Sound quality is studio grade. You can only run one algorithem at a time, but several of them contain multiple effects. Super easy to set up, and navigate. I had mine running in stereo with midi controller in no time flat. Only negative, and it's a small one is that you can't bluetooth with an android device. Support from Eventide has been excellent. Since I was second owner, had to have them unregister first owner before I could take control of pedal. They were fast, courteous and did a follow up to make sure I was able to register successfully.
