Awesome mic for vocals!
This mic was highly recommended by my Sweetwater salesman even though I was shopping for a more expensive microphone. After reading reviews of the mic online, I decided to give it a try. I was floored by the sound and ended up using this mic exclusively for lead vocals on the last album I recorded which featured mostly female lead vocals in a mixed jazz genre (traditional, swing, Brazilian, Latin, and pop, etc.). There is a clarity and presence that is very musical and silky and just makes vocals stand out! The tracks have been very easy to mix with very little EQ (mostly low end roll-off). This was the first time a final mix of mine had no EQ at all on the background vocals using this mic. The quality for this price just can't be beat! I'll be looking to add more Lauten mics to my toolbox soon!
