I ordered this book because I knew this lady here in Pennsylvania when she was abbess at the convent in Ellwood City. She visited my painting studio several times and we had some short private visits. Reading this book has helped me understand the difficulties and triumphs in her very interesting life. It was helpful in many respects. Her history from the beginning, her early years which I knew little about and a very detailed family tree of her genealogy. Very nicely and personably written. Good for both historian and novice. This lady had a most trying and difficult life being a royal in a troubled country in very troubled and dangerous times. The victory was that she was able to rise above all the trials and tribulations and be successful and outstanding in all that she sought to accomplish. She is an example to all and this story of her life is an inspiration to any reader of what one is capable of in the face of unbelievable hardship and trials. I really enjoyed the book, its photos and recommend it to any interested reader.
