GREAT IDEA, but...
First of all great idea, I now have new life for all of those old 18 Volt Ni-Cad Dewalt tools! And everyone laughed at me for not pitching them. Added benefit is the USB outlet on the adapter. I now have a great tool to keep my cell all charged an happy when I'm out in the field, or camping. Only gave 4 stars because the USB option on this adapter WILL DRAW THE 20 Volt battery dead to the bone making it so dead the 20 Volt charger then has a hard time recognizing the completely discharged 20 Volt battery. In short be sure to NOT leave your 20 Volt battery attached to the adapter when not in use. It has a constant draw on the 20 Volt battery.

Great addition to the tool crib
Have only used with 20v battery. The grinder is light weight, balanced well and paddle switch has a good feel. My 18v Ryobi grinder was my favorite and served me well until the day it grew legs.

USEFUL
Well made, I debated about dropping $20 on a hunk of aluminum, but it really made the job more enjoyable.
