A real space saver.
I have several of these travel tubes which allow you to carry several rods in the space taken up by one aluminum rod case. However, they will not provide the crush resistance of an aluminum tube. On a road trip they will allow you to carry more equipment in less space. They are less than ideal for airline travel.

Cast and swing beautifully. Nice straight tight connection to the rod during the swing. Allows use of shorter leaders and unweighted flies that swing more naturally and are less likely to hang up on the bottom. My favorite summer and fall Spey lines.
