Wonderful!
This book is on my all-time favorites shelf. Interesting story, compelling characters both good and bad and I love Frederik Bachman's lyrical writing. Most of the characters are on a hockey team and yes there is hockey in the story but the book is about so much more. It is not a "sports" book but it will appeal to sports fans and non-fans alike

"Quick read with nice, colorful artwork."
I imagined this book as a collection of bad reviews of a variety of National Parks and having visited a number of them I thought it would be very entertaining. The author shares one bad review and provides a synopsis of that particular park. This is more informative than just a bunch of ridiculous reviews but I was actually looking for a funny book! The artwork is nice and colorful and it is an easy read so I am pleased with the purchase overall. I can't rate it "better than expected" though because it is not what I did expect!

Great book! You'll want one for yourself and several for gifts.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a wonderfully moving story about an invalid's unexpected respite from the drudgery of inactivity by immersing herself in the day to day existence of a snail living in her room. The book makes an excellent gift, I received it from my daughter and have already given several to friends.
