Works great but the ring rotaion is a bit too tight
Works great. My only complaint is a bit too tight ring rotation. I agree it is better than too loose and I hope the rotation would become smoother in time.

Rigid construction but hard to attach the wire
The internal construction is reasonably rigid but this car plug has one big problem.
Its negative polarity contact is done by an "U" shaped stainless spring and it is extremely difficult to attach a lead wire to it.
For solder connection, you need to have a heat gun or a high temperature, say over 700°C, soldering iron and special flux and silver solder.
Drilling a small hole on this hardened metal piece is also very difficult and it weakens the spring action.
I ended up making a small metal attachment for the negative polarity wire connection.

Fits in perfect and works great
Filters are consumable and it is always good to have some spares at hand.
