Margaret Rutherford is by far my favorite Miss Marple.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Four wonderful movied starring one of my favorite actresses, Margaret Rutherford. Her Miss Marple movies don't exactly follow Agatha Christie's books, but I read where Agatha said that she loved Margaret Rutherford's portrayal of Miss Marple. I only hate that she only made 4 of these funny and entertaining movies. I can watch them over and over and never get tired of them.

Appropriate title for a unique fairy tale love affair.
I loved reading this book! I was one of the fans who attended movies at the Memphian Theater and spent nights at the Fairgrounds with Elvis and the crew (1961 thru 1963) so the people and some of the situations were familiar to me. I was just one of the fans who attended with Gary Pepper and his mother so I found it so interesting to hear about more personal things going on at Graceland at the time. I didn't know Anita well, but she was very friendly with all of us and obviously loved Elvis very much. He sometimes brought others as his date for the evening, but he seemed so much more comfortable and happy when he was with Anita. Mrs. Pepper was very disappointed that Elvis didn't marry Anita. Reading this book brought back so many fond memories. Thank you Jonnita!

Interesting biography of a talented artist
We have been to Kate Freeman Clark's museum in Holly Springs and really enjoyed this book with much more information about the life. Such a shame that after she moved back to Holly Springs that she didn't continue with her art. Her mother instilled in her the belief that it was ok for a woman to do artwork, but only as a hobby and that promoting herself and actually selling her work was somehow wrong. This book has an excellent reproductions of some of her work.
