Popular latch for marine use
Admittedly this is a ubiquitous item that is installed on probably millions of boats around the world. The fact that I found 2-3 copies of the aluminum piece it ships with, tells me that the previous owner may have installed a few himself. Tip: Do not get lazy and leave the key in the latch. It will be begging to get snapped off in the lock if you do. This is the reason I needed to replace it when I took ownership of this boat recently.
I'm giving it 5-stars because it is exactly the replacement part that I needed and it fit perfectly. Installs in seconds if it's a replacement, otherwise would take some notching of the door to fit it properly.
