Went in as needed, but not the same length as OEM
It was shorter than the oem spring, but it also has a higher spring rate. Only got to check feed and fununction by cycling the action by hand, not firing the 1100. But again, note it is shorter and stiffer than the original.

Direct fit, no issues. Although it's aluminum.
Fit fine, finish and quality is typical ruger. Only complaint is that the adapter is aluminum. That being said, do not go full on with the hardware, you WILL strip it. The fastener does have thread locking compound applied already. So just go to about 16 or 18in lb of torque. I don't have a wrench that goes that low. So i went snug, then another 1/4 turn.
Mine may work lose over time. If so I'll take them out, and use red loctite and apply the same low torque. Better to do a job twice, than to have to buy any part twice.
Side note, the factory vortex optic cover does not clear the rear sight with this base. It still goes over top of the red dot, but is not seated all the way. So it can come off very easily.
