A nice simple base for model aircraft.
Consists of three pieces of black plastic on a single sprue, parts being the two sides of the "neck" plus the base, approx 6 inches long x 5 1/2 inches at the widest, and 3 1/4 inches high. Slight "rough cast" surface texture. There are holes for wiring and mounts/pins for batteries in the base, but no metal hardware is included.
Aircraft mounted on it will be level, and a mounting point will have to be made on the model for the base's tab to fit into. Not a bad little base if you can get it for a good price.

For Lansdale completists only
In the introduction of this volume, the author admits it's not great, and I would agree. It has all the hallmarks of a Joe Lansdale story - weirdness, and violence, and horror, as viewed by pragmatic, relatable, blue-collar characters - but the story isn't great. It doesn't hang together well, is often vague, and it devolves into a level of surrealism that strains suspension of disbelief. For example, there is a character named Popalong Cassidy who has a television for a head, whose story is mostly told in an extended third person flashback. The book is almost like an allegory, or a story told in metaphors, but not quite. Lansdale says he wrote the story to express a recurrent fever dream he used to have, and that explains a lot, I think.
If you have to read everything Joe Lansdale has written, you'll want to pick this up. For more casual readers, I can't recommend it

Highly recommended if nose-weighting the Revell B-25J model.
This is a metal set of replacement parts for Revell's 1/48 B-25J kit. Consisting of three pieces, the nose landing gear strut, and the two wing mounted landing gear struts. Detail is good, the molding is crisp and requires little sanding or cleanup.
The Revell B-25J is, like most nose wheeled aircraft models, tail heavy. If the kit is built without support for the tail or weights in the nose, then the tail of the completed model will drop to the ground. Revell thoughtfully includes a ladder + stepladder arrangement in the model to prevent this, but the scale and detail on the stepladder is somewhat unconvincing, and limits display options.
Many modelers will instead choose to glue weights into the nose of the aircraft to shift the weight forward, thus raising the model's tail. Adding weight to the kit's nose however, puts additional strain on the thin plastic landing gear. If one wants to add weights to the kit's nose, these metal replacements are ideal - they are much sturdier than the kit parts, and the nose gear adds a small amount of weight itself.
If one wants to add nose weight to the Revell B-25J model, then these replacements are a recommended investment.
