Panasonic KX TG1000N 2.4 GHz mCordless Phone + Handset

Panasonic KX TG1000N 2.4 GHz mCordless Phone + Handset for KX-TG1000N {can get KX-TG1050N Expandable Phones} (Champagne) It's a GREAT system, bought ours in Jan 2003 used on ebay and the system continues to serve our needs. 5/08 we have the base with 3 extra handsets. Great range - maintains coverage even where a previous 2.4Ghz set failed. Handsets are small but with great keypads and simple operation. Like the led flash wen you have a voice mail ont he top, as we always have them standing uo and it very visable. We use the speakerphone all the time, it works well and handset will stand unsupported on desk when using speakerphone - improving clarity. Smaller antenna on handset than the newer extended range handsets make them a better,Bought for the Caller ID, Ringer Selection, Intercom, sound volume settings mostly. If a portion of my system fails, I will likely try to repair it or replace it with like product rather than replace the entire system with something new. Panasonic KX-TG1000N base phone has been around for years, we're getting an additional handset rather than ditch the base phone. Great add-on to the 1000N and 1050N bases. As small as a larger cell phone, belt clip is great to keep the phone on your hip while you use the headset. Range is great -- in the city/suburbs I can go a block or two away from my place and it still works fine. Only complaint is 1 of 4 that you can edit any names stored in memory (just the numbers!) so you have to delete the entry and then re-enter it. reccomend it to everyone it has amazing range. The handsfree speaker option on actual handset sounds just like you are talking on the phone. We then put several of them to put throughout the house because of the intercom feature (can call each other from different parts of our home) and the fact they're not bulky phones. There is good reception, and can be used outside. The only down side is ... it has been discontinued by Panasonic. The up side, I'm sure they have created an even better system, and the batteries are still available.
