Rejuvenated my old laptop

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad with i7 processor and solid hard drive which performs very well despite being too old to have an HDMI port. I'm using this adaptor to drive my TV as a monitor with sound. It works very well so has extended the useful life of my laptop.

Smooth operator

Didn't appreciate the significance of 'inverter' technology at the point of purchase, but I'm glad I went for it even though it cost a little extra. because the heating energy is more continuous and not as peaky as the old type of microwave. So if I select 950 watts (high setting) that's what I get rather than square waves of 1900 watts followed by zero. Not just better for the food but, because I have solar PV panels, they can deliver 950 watts in the daytime but not 1900 watts so I save on mains electricity Also I like the dial-up time setting - a pleasant change from multiple button pressing. It's compact but big enough for large plates.

Trouble free intallation with good user support.

Compact, easy to set up, aided by a very thorough user manual. The manual provided was very small - very difficult for me to read - so I needed to make an enlarged copy of all 30-odd pages. Not really a complaint as the supplier was saving paper The CD provided for the comms software needs WinZip (which I don't have) to unzip. I don't intend to pay £50 a year so need to find another way. Hence only 4 stars
