Wheel rotates smoothly
The wheel on this rotates easily and smoothly, I prefer this to the type with the wheel pinched between two pieces of metal which does not always rotate as easily.

Useful Tool
My mother had a bodkin and every time I struggle threading with a safety pin I wish I had one! Now I do and will get some use from it over the next few days. A bodkin is useful for more delicate fabrics and smaller channels so this is a useful tool in your sewing kit.
