Works in singer 401A where others failed

Bought some series 66 bobbins from a local well known fabric/sewing store that were supposed to work but didnt in my 1958 singer 401a. These worked perfectly and the quantity, service and price were all excellent.

My valve for a water bowl froze over the winter, and this fixed it perfectly - I'll be more careful to turn off the water supply next year, and thank goodness the copper piping didn't freeze. Thank you

Vast improvement over original foot pedal

I restored a singer 401a and it was pretty much frozen until I cleaned it and heavy lubed with tri-flow oil & tri flow grease. One minor issue that I and some others have is many of the newly china made model 66 bobbins that joanns, etc, sells do not work - a return and ebay order fixed this. The orig pedal, which i also cleaned, has a few problems: 1 button is difficult to find with your foot (you need to look down a lot and be barefoot for it to work for me). 2. The variable speed control is much more limited in the older model, it is a bit more than on/off but no where near as variable.
