Works great when it makes contact.

I've found the reason that some people aren't getting these to work correctly. The holes that the terminals fit through the battery are too small. They don't have enough room for the contacts to fit up into the battery correctly. If you take a small exacto nife and make the holes a bit wider, the contacts will fit better. Also since they also appear to be slightly "inset," you might need to fold some paper on the cover to push the battery up a bit higher. The battery itself works OK. It's just a slight manufacturing problem that should have been tested better. I hope this helps. I would have rated it higher if it would have been plug and play.

Good for changing a tire but not for working long hours.

I have one of these (at least I thought). I love it. I've used it for working on towers at night and hunting. The low power green mode will last for days and you don't need to worry about batteries. I won't get rid of mine. I bought this new model (Same model number as before) and now the green (low power) flashes. I can't work with my light flashing. If it were an option that could be turned off it would be fine but I've read and re-read the microscopic instructions a few times and could find no fix. If you need lots of light and don't mind changing batteries, these will be fine for you. If you're going to work all night and just need a small amount of light to get the job done, find something else. W3DH
