Looks cool but does not function as stated

I originally purchased this controller thinking it was going to function perfectly as stated. Upon testing the controller I noticed that moving up and down on the joystick not only doesnt function properly but just doesnt work at all. I feel as though i was lied to on the condition of the item and am truely dissappointed.
