Well worth the money
I was skeptical about the ability to charge the battery but having had it connected for a week or so, the voltage has increased by 0.4v from where it was and that is great (of course, a larger battery might not charge bit just maintain). As others have mentioned, the plug is a bit naff but plenty of weatherproof options exist to modify it to.

Great value for money
I bought this to supplement a high end action camera and purposely left it to now to review real life use and thoughts not just out of the box. The screen is good enough to review clips and WiFi transfer works well with a free app. The battery life isn't great (~60 mins) but you can buy a second one on eBay. The image is good but sound in the case can suffer some what. I am considering buying one for the car now as well (has a continuous 3 min video segment option).
