Before the Beach - Buffett, Jimmy
I owned this album back when it was on vinyl: it was called "Before the Salt" back then and I was thrilled to see it re-released on cd in 1996. As the title suggests, these songs, all written or co-written by Buffett, were written BEFORE he went to Key West so you won't get much beach and salt; what you will get is a fantastic album: fun songs,deep songs,and a little more countrified music. For officianados, there's an earlier rendering of "Captain and the Kid" that you'll love; I just can't say enough good about this album: I rate it up there with "Changes", "Sailor", and "A1A" - not ahead of 'em, but right up there. "Before the Beach" is a MUST HAVE if you're a Parrothead or just a Buffett fan. enjoy, cogs714

Not their best
I have LOTS of Guy and Townes' cds/music, and a couple of Steve's: I didn't hear the magic I was hoping for.

not what you might expect
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich From the title, you might expect a "porn flick' . . . well, there are full naked actors and explicit sex scenes (though body doubles, prostheses, and skillful editing were employed) but the "porn" was less than titillating. The movie is the flashbacks of a young woman's troubled life, and though not 'suspenseful', Lars von Trier gives the viewer everything we've come to expect from him: and that is quite a bit. The movie is very 'believable' as the acting, directing, sets are excellent.
