It does have a sliding top
Although the description does not always cover it, This does have the sliding top and is very strong.
The only thing that looked (Past tense) is the specific adapter to fit the car, but it has withstood leaning on it (Not on purpose) and it did not flinch.
The other thing is that the rest part has a few positions that alter the front height by 50mm, this is dependent on the closure stop point. You'll know what I mean once you've installed it, as the instruction do not make it clear.
The removable pocket is ideal for the car park change, and has a magnetic clasp on it.
How to make it better, Make the adaptor column stronger and place a cup holder pop out to replace the one it covers.

If there is a negative, it is the orientation of the USB 3 connectors in the back, because the leads are then poking straight down and look ugly.
