Fine aesthetic writing (complex and articulate) reviewing the ouevre of an unapologetically socialist (communist) artist, struggling against high-capitalism's, Fascism's, number one goal: annihilating socialism, a goal fully achieved in Europe since WWII; Europe has no socialist economies. John Hearfield is a perfect foil to both Norman Rockwell 'capitalist realism'in the U.S. and Socialist Realism in the Soviet Union. The price is heavy, for artists but it's a rare monograph, especially valuable in todays crumbling Capitalist empire. A vision of the evils to come a cry, a scream, for decency against perpetual war and looting domestically and abroad by the elite by an important Berline Dada founder, Heartfield. Love it. WC
