One of my favorite films Great Performances beautiful soundtrack all over a memorable experience
Harry and Tonto is a touchingly beautiful story with some sad moments but in clever directing character, paul mazursky quickly cuts from a sad scene to something more uplifting to keep the balance of humor and sometimes not so happy life's realities in a comfortable range of fluidity. a Bittersweet story that always leans towards the uplifting. Carney received the Academy Award for best actor and he was up against some tough competition but in my opinion certainly deserved it.
