Of limited interest to Australian readers.
The English "Shire" books by Bloomsbury Publishing is a series of small, inexpensive, illustrated paperbacks which each feature items of historic English life and culture. "Old Cinemas" is a brief look at development of early decorated picture palaces. If you are interested in such a field of architectural history, this little book may be worth a look, although it does not feature any plans and the photographs are of poor quality.

Satisfying movie music.
I purchased this cd because it included the film music from "The Fountainhead", a movie which I enjoyed from days of old. But all the Max Steiner scores are equally as impressive and well worth listening to. As well, the lush orchestration and instrumentation adds to the atmosphere of the compositions and the sound quality is quite acceptable.

Well presented architectural nostalgia.
Well presented used book, with full colour illustrations and a variety of drawings including floor plans, sections and elevations / isometrics. Date of publication was 1974, so it's now a nostalgic view of some outstanding buildings, but still interesting. My only criticism is : too much space devoted to single residences / houses, which could have been devoted to more public structures.
