Speck CandyShell Grip case iPad Mini2
Case fits the device well, offers good grip, and doesn't make the ipad big and bulky. I use a TechArmor screen protector and this case, rather than a smartcover or other folio type product. I haven't dropped the ipad but it seems like it would protect from certain kinds of accidents. Already own a similar Speck Candyshell case for iphone and have been very happy with that.

Do not buy
As others have said, the product is defective. It worked okay when I first opened it, and I was able to wrap a couple of dumbell handles. I then put it aside. A few days later, and it is impossible to unreel any more tape. Do not bother purchasing this.

Easy to install!
The clever but simple installation process, using adhesive "hinges", makes the job easy. More importantly, it really helps in the critical step of aligning and placing the screen protector accurately. I got this onto my iPad with no bubbles or dust particles. I definitely recommend this product. Also, it's a lot less expensive than most of the competition.
