One of the Better Genesis Unofficial Live Recordings -- But Imperfect
This is a well-known Genesis bootleg recording from the group's Selling England US promotional tour. There are better gigs from this period (e.g. The Rainbow Theatre, London) and a couple worse than this.
First the good aspects. The sound quality isn't bad, with little audience noise and only the slightest tape hiss in quieter sections. It has interesting spoken Peter Gabriel stories between the tracks and you get around 1 hr 20 mins of the concert and a bonus of Watcher.. and Musical Box recorded at another venue the same year. It's well performed as usual though Hackett's guitar does get swamped by drums and keyboards at times.
On the downside, Supper's Ready fades abruptly near the end (around 3 minutes missing) and the card cover is basic in terms of text and illustrations. A jewel case would've been preferable. The cover image is a generic photoshop one. Also, it's a less complete Selling England than The Rainbow gig.
Worth getting if you're a serious Genesis fan.

Superior to the standard Arthur issue & with a 'Dave Davies Solo Album'.
My old copy of Arthur had an annoying jump mid-way through Shangri-La, so I wanted a replacement anyway. This 2 CD was appealing as it had the bonus tracks from the time presented as Dave Davies' solo album on disc two.
Of course, disc one with the remastered 1969 Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) album remastered justifies the cost alone. The Kinks' second-best album after the classic 'Village Green' preceding it IMO, just ahead as the following album, 1970's 'Lola'. Tracks like Arthur, Australia and Shangri La are long by Kinks' standards, with Australia around seven minutes of excellence. The whole concept album is consistently good and pleasingly dated in terms of lyrical references. This disc includes non-album singles King Kong and Plastic Man.
Disc two's 'Dave Davies' 12-track album is a decent album too but isn't up to Arthur's standards, also having a rough unfinished sound at times. Tracks like Lincoln County and Mindless Child of Motherhood are fine Kinks tracks. Although the Deluxe version of this album is better still, this 2019 book compilation is cheaper. The attractive illustrated 24 page album information in the book is rather good too.

Rather refined and pleasant English folk-pop stylings.
I discovered Judy Dyble through her vocals on the first Fairport Convention album, which is very much of its time (late 60s). Not quite up there with other female folk vocalists like Maddy Prior or Sandy Denny but I find her posh, very articulate vocals rather appealing. Her solo albums (apart from two or three of the more recent releases) tend to be pricy.
The 13 tracks on here are rather pleasant folky fare and all are pleasant enough, quite uplifting.
If you like pleasant folk in the vein of Vashti Bunyan you'll probably like this album.
