The Hope of Easter
Mr. Ebenezer Nezzer is out of control, with his mechanical chickens and plastic Easter eggs, and plans to destroy the church to build Easter land in honor of his grandma. His back story shows where he went wrong, however. When his grandma, who loved Easter, died, her last request was to tell everyone "Easter means no death." But in a crazy misunderstanding, he now thinks he has to make the celebration of Easter last forever to keep his grandma alive!
In this spinoff of A Christmas Carol, his Grandma comes to him in a vision to warn him and chew him out for not paying attention and for missing the whole point of Easter! The same night, an angel named Hope shows him Easter Past, Present and Future, in which she shows him where he went wrong, and how much he had missed when he didn't pay attention to the stories his grandma told him as a child, and how much we need the everlasting life to have hope. An Easter Carol teaches families how the resurrection of Jesus gives us hope, and really gets to the heart of what makes Easter meaningful!
