Great, inexpensive alternative to the sm57
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I bought 2 of these to add to my artillery to record drums and guitar amps. I used one on the kick and the other on the snare, and a shure 55sh as an overhead, and the sound was unbelievable. On guitar amps this mic really shines as well. The mic does take vocals well, but its strong point is drums and amps. This mic is a steal for the money and can be used in any way you'd use the sm57 with great results. The only complaints I have about this microphone, are that the cable it came with was an xlr to mono 1/4", which I don't believe I'll ever find an application for it. The other, is that the wiring inside the mic is rather fragile, and you can't beat on this mic and expect it to survive, like you would an sm57. Other than those minor complaints, this mic sounds better than it should for the price. You can't go wrong.
