Paper Mache by Marion Elliot
This is a great beginner's book, and even though I'm not a beginner, I still loved it just for the author's style, painting techniques and original ideas. It has 20 projects that cover all the various methods (paper strip, paper pulp, using a mold)--the book was obviously well thought out, because not only does each project use these construction methods a little differently, there are also a variety of finishings, making it a rich source of techniques. Any artistcally inclined person could find at least a few things they'd like to make, and would be inspired to create their own designs. Really a very nice "paper mache basics" book with many excellent color photos throughout.

Best Tiny Pom Pom Maker
After trying multiple times to make tiny pom poms using cardboard, forks, and fingers, these little devices really do the trick, making a full, dense, firm little pom pom, I'm thoroughly impressed. Well worth the money if you're a pom pom enthusiast. Makes me want to try all the larger sizes.
