Vox V830 Distortion Booster Pedal
Great sounding pedal. Nice warm distortion. Pedal very responsive to playing touch, allowing for nice crunch that tracks strength / intesity of picking/strumming hand perfectly. Tone sounds great playing either rythmn or lead.
I've been through a lot of distortion pedals over the years and I think I've finally found the one I've been searching for all this time. Plays great in front of both my tube and solid state amps with a variety of guitars and pick-up types.

Some excellent early Prima. Not the best sound quality. The recordings could benefit from some digital clean up but nice sample of his big band - swing work before he moved into jump blues.
