all it took was a new WA-55 CARB.
I was debating to buy a newer bk/pk blower, after all, mine is a 1988 series, Echo PB-400 E. it's old,
It has great compression, but is a job to start, once started, it's play with the air mixture screws and make sure the tank gas filter and the air filter are clean, had to pull starter rope 15 to 20 times for it to start, I know the fuel pump is weak, it ran for awhile then it would just die.
Once installing the new Carb. WOW what a difference, mainly the new fuel pump inside the carb. did the trick, I made sure all the rubber fuel lines and the fuel line rubber garment that sits in the upper tank area was replaced as well, low cost here.
once the new carb was installed, it takes 2 pulls to get fuel to the new carb, it fires up on the 2nd, or 3rd. pull when cold, and the 1 st. pull when warmed up,
MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW, the fuel pump is inside the carb. a carb kit may have done the trick, but I wanted a all new carb. worth every penny, Great price,
