Just use a pin, trust me!
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Instructions on bottle say twist the nozzle tightly to open and point away from body, that last part was vital for me not ending up with the glue all over myself.
There's a protective cap placed over the nozzle, I turned that as tight as I could and then removed it but glue was not dispensing so after a few more tries I removed the protective cap and started twisting the nozzle itself, it just turned and turned and then popped completely off and the glue was everywhere. Thankfully I was doing it over the sink with rubber gloves on but I did have dishes in there and I have lost 2/3 of the glue content now also. Some of the dishes salvaged but lost a plastic plate and spatula (anything plastic and rubber it seems to bonds to permanently and quickly, even acetone couldn't get it off the plastic stuff) salvaged everything metal including the stainless steel sink though, I used acetone but didn't really need it as it comes off metal OK after it is dried.
In the end I resorted to the old and tried method of sticking a pin down the nozzle and needless to say problem solved! Do yourself a favour and just get a pin straight away to avoid the hassle and mess.

Another Sony classic but...
Beautiful and sleek design, latest software update at time of writing (Android 7.1), usual easy functionality of an Xperia and Xperia to Xperia transfer a piece of cake with the PC Xperia Companion software. The "but" is Sony's idea of installing a ear proximity sensor which when phone is held to the ear the backlight goes out (I guess it's a battery conservation effort but you can't switch it off). The problem with it is that if you put tempered glass/screen protector on the screen, the ear proximity sensor permanently thinks that the phone is being held to your ear. Not a problem when not making a call but during a call this will make it almost impossible for you to use the keypad (for those automated call services) or to end the call yourself thus you'll rely on the other person to do so. Basically, the screen becomes disabled during calls if the ear proximity sensor is permanently blocked by a screen protector. To get around it you could cut a square out from your protector but nothing you can do with tempered glass. It's a known problem and as of now there's no fix for it. I just take extra care as a result and keep my screen free of any foreign instruments, I have a case that covers the rear and is slightly raised around the front edges to prevent screen from touching ground if dropped and it has its own dedicated pocket in my jacket so that nothing in there with it causes scratches. It's an unusual bad design oversight from Sony, enough to get only 3 stars from me but otherwise the phone is great. Doesn't have a pre-installed notepad either I'm afraid.

5 von 5 finden das hilfreich I bought this kit so that I could repair my Sony Xperia Z1 compact which had a cracked screen. The touchscreen no longer worked and thus I could not use the phone, however, the display was working fine in that I could see the lit up home screen perfectly and the time was progressing on the home screen clock as it should. This means that the digitiser was broken but the LCD was in working order and so when I saw this kit I thought 'perfect'! I bought it and went home to repair my phone only to discover that it is IMPOSSIBLE to separate the digitiser from the LCD meaning if your screen is cracked on this phone you must replace BOTH the digitiser AND the LCD whether the LCD is working or not. This kit does not contain a digitiser with an LCD, just a digitiser. Why? No idea! I have no idea what benefit there could possibly be in selling the digitiser without an LCD, it seems utterly pointless for this phone. The rest of the kit is great but in fairness you do not need most of the products to complete a screen swap on this phone. You do not need any screwdrivers for instance, nor razor blades. So I had to buy a digitiser with LCD the next day elsewhere and only then was I able to complete the repair, it took less than five minutes to do and now all is OK. For the tools you need from this kit to complete the screen replacement, you shouldn't be spending any more than £4.99 inc P&P, in my view. I'll keep the kit since it is my own fault for buying it in a haste without checking it was everything I needed and the tools in the kit will undoubtedly be useful for other repair jobs that may arise on this and other phones/tablets, in future.
