Does not stick to smooth clean glass nor dashboard

It fell off the inside of my windshield in less than 10 minutes of driving. So I tried to use the flat plate and put it on the dashboard and the suction in the middle of the plate pulled the sticky loose from the dashboard and it fell off again in less than 20 minutes. My GPS spend the rest of my 14 hour drive that day propped up in the ash tray. The only way I could get the mount to stay on the dashboard was to use silicone compound which will leave a mess behind when I need to move my GPS for some reason. I'm NOT happy with this product.

Does what I needed

The mount fits my garmin, The original was misplaced and this works. However, it does not stay attached to the windshield for more than a few minutes at a time. I ended up using double sided tape to stick it to the top of my dashboard. If you need one get it. It's cheap and works for me. I prefer the dashboard anyway because it's easier to see in the lower part of my bifocals and doesn't have the cable dangling between the dash and the windshield.

Replacement mounting bracket looks as good as the original.

I can't tell it from the original and as with all Yaesu products the original was very good.
