Reliable little unit. Hot enough my dog won't even tease it.
Purchased this basic unit because of it's price and ended up more than satisfied with it's performance. I "threw" this setup together with some plastic stakes 24" this is a city lot. Where th e outlet was wasn't close to real shelter so I just put the unit on the ground face up. It has rained alot lately and then even more rain. But the best thing is how our dog has responded. She knew something was up and smelled it but had to touch it... Needless to say she respects this little box. No more running out into the road and she still gets to play in the yard and I worry a little less.

Poor quality of workmanship, not reliable, not a value at any cost.
Points are not aligned, making it very difficult to get a repeatable measurement. Even when you can, the readings are not accurate. If you finally get the O.D. measurement to repeat on a value and can qualify it against a known standard, the I.D. measurement is incorrect. None of the three dimension functions agree with one another, by at least .0004". The finishing of this product is terrible, there were burrs on the I.D. points, and the feel of the movement back and forth being sloppy eroded any confidence I would have using this product in any environment. However, if you require measurements as off as +/-.015" they may be suitable, otherwise not a value at any cost.
