I think they were the first and still probable the best battery drills on the market.

I have always used Makita driver drills and get about 3-4 years out of them so @ £40 there a good value workhouse for you and thats drilling 50mm holes in metal a lot of the time so if you only use it for light work and look after it you'd get longer out of them.
