Aethetically pleasing with rounded edges and works well.

Works quite well and does this job. Looks aesthetically pleasing and there are tiny vias for heat transfer to the rear of the PCB if you use a thick thermal pad with this unit. Works also in an open-ended PCIe x1 slot (or even a bridge adapter) if needed. Currently using it myself in a modified X1 slot with an Intel Optane on an AM3+ Asrock 970m Pro3. Only part I did not find quite helpful is that despite there being 4 led's on the front they are not for indicating Phy-Link or other activity. It is instead purely for aesthetics to illuminate the "PAHO" logo on the back of the card.

Good value and good drive bay. Very rigid and supportive.

Not a bad unit to expand your bays to additional drives. However, the included screws are much too long and will not go all the way leaving the drives loose in the bay as shown in the first image. Shorter screws will be needed for proper mounting. However I mostly needed it for two purposes. The unit on its' own was too large for my needs due to excess size of the bracket itself and shorter bays were more expensive. I ended up cutting two of the screw hole sections out to use as free-hanging braces to extend my vertical aligned drive needs for a Raid-0 array. The rest of the bay with the other side will be used to extend drives in another system with the other side intact. The aluminum is very thick and sturdy... far more rigid than expected and will not bend. From what is seems they can easily support drives up to 12.5mm in height. This information is not available from most listings and tends be be slightly ambiguous. If you are handy with a rotary tool the second included photo is what I had done for my system as only part of the bay was needed. First Photo: Included screws far too long - will not secure the drive Second Photo: Cut off the drive holes and using shorter wafer screws for more compact mounting. I will update this review once the bay itself is mounted into another system.
