    RE5R05A Transmission Valve Body Solenoid TCM 0260550002 For Nissan Xterra /Titan

    i received what looks like an updated va...
    i received what looks like an updated valve body, it was missing a horizontal valve, but had an extra vertical valve. The only thing i had to do was wash off the corner of the valve body where they ground the edge, i just poured gas over the top of it and wiped off with a rag. The spring on top of the TCM is used to hold pressure on valve body so when you go to bolt it up that is what you are feeling, i took it down 4 or 5 times looking to see what was holding the valve body down so i did not hurt anything. Finally put old valve body back up and it was the same way. Remember to route the wires in the holders so nothing rubs and shorts. My pan had very little debris in it. I had a code P1754 for low roller clutch solenoid short. Nissan info says solenoid should pull .6-.8 amp on scanner, My scanner( MATCO MAX FLEX) showed 1.0 amps in limp in mode. Before i ordered the valve body i checked my solenoid with a Amp meter and it only pulled .45 Amp. I found a website that listed the solenoids, Identifix did not even list what they were. I would guess that the fluid allows a little metal chunk to lodge somewhere and cause the short. So i went and got Valvoline multivehicle, it covers Nissan J matic and S matic specs. Cleaned out oil pan, it had about 1 Tablespoon of what felt like paste in the bottom, no metal chunks or fiber chunks, the fluid was darker, but looked red on dipstick. Did not smell like coffee or burnt. I decided to put fresh fluid in, and not take a chance on a repeat failure. Took my truck and drove it, works perfect!!!YAY!!, have had a less than desirable year so far and this really made my day!!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
