Info
I DIY just about anything, and am always looking for cheaper and better ways to do stuff. I rebuild cars, computers, motorcycles, guns, and anything else I think I can reasonably get into. So far, ROTARY ENGINES have been my Achilles heel.

I am always skeptical when buying used memory
This turned my boat anchor back into a functioning PC again. I'm using it to type this. THANK YOU!

Shipping worth the wait
I purchased an Intel Core2Duo processor. It took awhile for the item to get to me, about 2 1/2 weeks. To be fair, I live in New England and had a blizzard, so it may have been a weather-related issue. I never actually got to the bottom of it.
Long story short, however, the item arrived and worked beautifully. I really put my computer through hell with all the gaming and graphic art I do, and the speed jump from dual-core to core2duo was AMAZING. No issues with the processor at all.

Works great when set correctly
Well designed gadget. The only issue I found was that you need to make sure the suction-cup is exactly at the same angle as the windshield. Any deviation and the suction-cup will release overnight.
I ended up mounting the device without removing the adhesive tape cover. Once I got it to a position where it stayed on the next day, I removed the adhesive cover, stuck it back into place, and stuck the adhesive to my dashboard.
It's best to have the phone cradle 'floating', and not directly in contact with the dashboard. That way, the center support acts as a fulcrum and weight on the phone cradle actually causes the base to push back against the glass, leaving it stuck in place.
